About Me

Im a 26 year old Software Developer, living and working in Berlin. I began my studies in Game Design in 2015 at the HTW University in Berlin, where I first got in touch with Virtual and Augmented Reality Headsets. After I graduated in 2019, I was working as a freelance XR Developer for different companies until 2021, where I started working as a XR researcher in the Experimental Surgery Department of the Charité University Hospital.

I’m also working on LiveScan3D, an open source, low cost, volumetric video capturing solution.

My interests

I’m mainly interested in the field of computer graphics, with a strong emphasis on the capture and virtual representation of real world scenes. This includes photogrammetry, volumetric video, NeRFs and anything that’s to come! I’m an advocate for Open Source and Open Access, and love to create software and tools that are accessible to as many people as possible.

Another focus and a big part of my research is the application of spatial technologies in the medical field. This includes the use of XR for medical training, surgical planning and during surgical procedures.
